Reminiscences Of A Seeker: Dark Face Of The White World – Review

I received the book Reminiscences Of A Seeker: Dark Face Of The White World by Kapil Kumar Bhaskar from the author in exchange for an honest review.

A series of events catapults Kapil into the fascinating world of Dark Arts and suck him into the quagmire of drama, suspense, greed and betrayal. And just when the trials and tribulations seem to engulf Kapil completely, there emerged from the deepest darkness, a Brilliant Light of his True Master.

Reminiscences of A Seeker tells the true story of an ordinary man plunged into extraordinary circumstances of the Dark World.

Kapil takes you on his unforgettable true journey of the supernatural world of mystics and higher beings, unbelievable miracles and the parallel world of darkness and light, in his spiritual pursuit of seeking the ONE – who would show him the Ultimate Divine.

My Take:

When I was offered this book for review, I was skeptical about picking and reading something totally different from my choice of genres. But with a quest to try something new I went ahead and gave this book a try. I was not left disappointed after reading the book.

This book is not your everyday read. It is a fantasy thriller with mystical elements. The book explores the journey of a man in search of a master who can guide him in his spiritual quest. This is a story where the man tries to save himself from getting sucked into the dark world and finally how he finds his true master. When you read the book you feel like you are reading a biography of a person on a spiritual journey.

The book starts on a boring note and you will feel like putting away the book. But as you go further the pace picks up and it turns quite interesting. The author uses many mystical elements in the book. The tantric world and black magic is elaborately explained in the book.

The language is lucid but at some point it does get difficult to understand with all the jargon related to spiritualism. The author also throws light on paranormal activities. The plot is gripping at times and boring at some points. The author could have taken more care at such points. Nevertheless, author Kapil has written this book with so much passion and zeal that it reflects in the book. I felt that the cover of the book could have been a bit more catchy and interesting.

In a nut shell, this is an unique book which is good for one time read.

My Rating: 3/5

My Verdict: This book is one of a kind. Pick if you want to try something new and at your own risk.
